I saw this performance last Saturday night on SNL. How can you not love astronaut dancers doing the robot and an american flag cape with fringe??!

This Is IT!
Yes, today is my 28th birthday. For some reason I have really been looking forward to being 28--it just rolls off the tongue easier than 27. So far my birthday has been really great. I took last Thursday off and had a nice early birthday lunch with my friend Catherine at Tag downtown. The food was great and it was refreshing to go out downtown on a weekday with a good friend. In addition, I got to see a lot of my family on Sunday to celebrate both Easter and my birthday. My sisters gave me the new Chelsea Handler book, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang, and the Michael Jackson movie, This Is It. I haven't started the book, but the movie is awesome and makes me wanna dance. My mom gave me a pretty sun dress for Greece and a gorgeous 1947 vintage slip. My grandma also gave me some really cool shirts and a pair of earrings. I wore the earrings and one of the shirts to work today. They look hot. My aunt Vicky gave me a really pretty pair of silver earrings too. I am way too spoiled. Thank you everyone!!
Flashback. . . this is me on my first birthday. I think my mom is 26 in this photo. Time flies!!

Dog Days
My sister Anna showed me this picture over the weekend. Every time I look at it I laugh. I can't help it! Enjoy.

Fancy Footwork
I was lucky enough to go down to Pueblo this past weekend for my sister Abby's track meet. Abby started off her meet by anchoring the 800 meter Sprint Medley Relay. If you aren't familiar with this race, it is composed of two 100m dashes, one 200m dash and a 400m dash. It looked like Abby's team was at least 40 meters behind when the baton was handed off to her, but she was able to able to make up the lost ground and finish the race in first place. The team actually set a meet record and took hold of the second place ranking in the State 4A division. Abby was also able to snag second place in both the 400m and 4x400m Relay. I was really proud! She was photographed and interviewed for the Pueblo Cheiftain Sunday sports section. You can read the article here.
